This isn't Naples, it is Sorrento, but close enough . I think the sentiment behind the phrase is that the area is so beautiful you have seen the best the world has to offer and can cheerfully pass away. The truth is that you are likely to get wiped out by the psychotic car drivers who populate the area and drive at 60mph on roads which are basically hairpin bends on mountainsides. It is a long time since I have felt quite so afraid when a passenger in a car. Alternatively, if the drivers don't get you the pollution will.
Lovely coastal walk today and then a visit to Sorrento (where Mr M nearly got flattened by a bus despite being on the pavement) You really have to have your wits about you in Southern Italy...
