Roadrunner
New Mexico is basically a high desert plateau. Most of the state is above 5,000 feet and much of the landscape is dry and brown, but even in the driest desert areas there are still plants and of course birds.
I try to feature in this journal a range of different topics, reflecting my various interests, but birds are always my primary interest (some would say obsession!). But who doesn't like to see a good roadrunner picture? The bird - the first we've seen this trip - was her side of the car so S took this one out of the window. Not cropped or edited in any way!
