The calming influence of cats

Here we see the order of importance in the house. 

Tui (large ginger cat) dominant on the table. She is not actually allowed on the table when there is a cloth on it. 
Then Mrs. Ottawacker, calmly taking out her frustration on a Sudoku puzzle. That her frustration is caused by Sudoku puzzles, I haven't the heart to mention.
Then Charlie, usurping Ottawacker Jr.'s place at the table. 
Then me, in the kitchen, preparing dinner.

Ottawacker Jr. is excused from the hierarchy, as he was out picking up sticks in the garden.
