The sunflower

I went out this morning before it got hot to get a photo of the only sunflower that came up from the six seeds I planted.  I guess the birds or squirrels ate the other seeds.   These were the giant kind so I did not not want to plant all of them in the bed but maybe I should have since I might have had more than one.

As I was trying to focus in on the bees/flies that were enjoying the middle of the flower, an anole came scooting up the stalk and grabbed a bite!    Then it sat there and had breakfast...and another bite!   He was too quick for me to get the grab and go with his mouth!   

Made my morning!

I did get a long walk this morning before the heat set in for the day.  It is way above hot!   I may need to walk about 7am in order to beat the heat.
