Holly flowers

I'm usually pretty observant, but this is the first spring that I've ever noticed flowers on the holly!  When the kids were here earlier in the month, we noticed them on a walk and couldn't believe the scent. We have a couple on our place, clearly visible, and I can't believe I've never seen the flowers that are right under my nose. G has seen them on one of the trees before but never on one particular one. Another of the changes we're noticing in the vegetation around us - some trees that haven't grown in years are suddenly having growth spurts. Didn't notice the photobomber until I uploaded the photo. I think it's a hover fly.
I came across a bench, a couple of boxes serving as "side tables" with plants on them, and a table with a begonia plant (past its prime) in a place near the end of our road that's hard to spot. They definitely don't belong there! I've asked a couple of neighbours if they know who might have put them there. A piece of "art" was also hanging from a tree behind the bench, and I added it as an extra. I did take a photo of the bench but wasn't happy with it, so I might go back for another. A mystery!
