Day Tripping

My hubbie and I took a train to Seattle for the day. Since we do so much traveling together, we wanted to get Global Entry and Pre-Check so we do not need to strip ourselves going through security at airports. I needed to get fingerprinted and interviewed for approval and Seattle was the closest city to arrange the interviews.

The 3 1/2 train ride was incredibly relaxing. I admire other parts of the world where trains are the primary mode of long distance travel. Our country is very lacking in good train service but in the Northwest train service is excellent.

Once arriving in Seattle we could easily use light rail to and from the airport from the train station. We walked through a part of the city and a young woman dressed in vintage clothing was washing windows in her vintage shop. She was delightful and posed for a portrait. In all, a very pleasant person and a very pleasant day trip.
