Half a Coconut

The birds have been enjoying the half coconuts we put on the feeder. I have never known them to go through the fat so quickly. One of the reasons is that the blackbirds seem to have mastered the technique of feeding from the coconut which sometimes involves loosening the fat so it drops on the floor so they can retrieve it.

The blue tits also seem to love it and I noticed that there are some fledglings in the garden so I guess this is what it is doing with this large chunk..
