Learning new skills

The Eldest has decided that she'd like to learn how to do cross stitch. I've never had a go at it either, so we went to a shop today and picked up what we thought were some easy peasy kits. I had thought that they'd have the pattern printed on the stitchy into bit, but no, it didn't. So we've been nutting it through together, and she's been really focussed working on it. The light colour became quite difficult as the light went this afternoon, so it is sitting waiting for the next dreary day for her to carry on with.

The Youngest ended up with a friend over this afternoon while we were busy crafting away. It has been quite a nice chilled out day as a family (plus the one extra).

Lamb shanks for tea tonight and they were A-Mazing!
