Touching a nerve?

Thinking we'd have a nice day down at the coast, my son, daughter and her boyfriend (pictured) decided they'd rather go paintballing (or 'Airsofting', to be exact, which is just like paintball but without the paint... and more painful).

It gave me a real jolt when we arrived, I felt like Alex Crawford walking into a war zone. I've done this loads of times but never when we were actually at war, and it was quite a shock, seeing all the people dressed up like soldiers and carrying huge guns.

I kept well out of it this time and spent the afternoon sitting at a picnic table and doing my marking.
