Cheat
Bit of a cheat, as I took this yesterday. But I couldn’t retake it as I’ve already lent two of them out and I like to keep a record on here of my monthly reads.
Some brilliant books in May but by far and away the best was The Ragamuffin Gospel. It moved me to tears of several occasions (but this is me, so no big surprises there). My fave Vicar, Johnny, saw my book pile on insta yesterday and immediately left me a hilarious voice note all about his love of this book. I wish I’d have read it twenty years ago, as I feel as if I’d have lived those years a little lighter if I had.
It’s been nice to be able to take the whole week off this week thanks to the Platty Joobes extra bank holidays. Today I had an embarrassingly long lie-in and then lunch in town with Grace and some of the old neighbours.
