Fading Light

First up, a REALLY BIG WOOF for all the truly lovely comments on the Bosses and Boss's special day. Some of the comments were very moving and I sometimes struggle to get my small furry head around the kindness that radiates from this site. They are both completely chuffed. AND I was too. I will be there to personally thank everyone but we have just arrived home from Christchurch (6 hour drive) and it is blip and sleep for now.
The day was very exciting and we had a Coffee/ tea / Coke Z / Chocolate Croissant meeting with Lynn and Dick and Chris, who had a special birthday, followed by another fun activity that is embargoed for now but did have an international flavour or two.
The day weather wise was awful...Rain and easterly winds. There is a saying in Christchurch that goes "Rain from the East...3 days at least". So it should improve now we have left and on the drive back the DFO and wet conditions persisted until we crossed Burkes pass into the MacKenzie and things started to improve at the same rate that the light faded. Some fancy driving by The Bossess involving U turns where there was not room for one resulted in the above, made possible by some additional fancy footwork in the long grass and resting the camera on a fence post.
Off to ZZZ now but I shall return...OH and yes big T will indeed return tomorrow morning complete with new hair style.
