First Blip Meet
The sun shone, a small amount of rain fell and the conversation flowed , meandering its way through many topics as is the way with old friends. It was our first meet up in the flesh but we have followed one another’s daily narrative for long enough to be familiar with one another.
It was a really happy day, wonderful to spend real time with Lizzie and Frank, meet the lovely Bella and experience a little of life on the towpath , so much going on and so many short social interactions with passers by , it was quite an education.
Our furry friends worked out how to be together after a bit of initial suspicion, Bramble enjoyed swimming in the various pools and streams that run through the woods surrounding Skipton castle . Bella was more sociable and enjoyed saying hello to the people we passed .
We ate fabulous food in a cafe that was incredibly dog friendly and also catered for our different dietary requirements. We did a little shopping in a couple of Skipton’s charity shops and then chatted some more on the canal side . It was very hard to tear ourselves away from such pleasant company . It appears that we can stay overnight on the adjacent carpark in Ruby the motor home so we will definitely be visiting again before too long !
