Holidays!

We’ve come away to the Lake District, camping, with this girl and her family. This is Immy, who has been Allegra’s constant (and very patient) companion all day. See extra for Zion’s companion. A lovely day, Allegra said: I hope all the days we have here are very long!

Camping in the grounds of Rydal Hall, can hear the stream/waterfall as I lie in the tent writing this. We wandered down the footpath to Ambleside earlier for some supplies - we left in blazing sun (very glad to have had this to pitch our tents in!) and had to shelter in a bus stop on our way back when there was a sudden downpour! But all was well, and we ended the day with a campsite dinner cooked over one hob and a disposable bbq - in sunshine again.

The photo blipped and the extra were at Sizergh National Trust on a “wild trail” where we stopped for a picnic lunch on the way.
