Perch Rock toy camera style
A visit to the seaside and the marvelous New Brighton at the mouth of the Mersey. It is one of those places that has changed hugely in the last few years. Tumbledown and decrepit a few years ago, now it is reborn with a big centre containing cinema, restaurants and pubs etc. Whilst normally these places ruin somewhere here it has kickstarted a bit of a resurgence which can only be a good thing. New Brighton has so much to be proud of, great transport links, huge outdoor green areas and parks, massive clean and shell filled beaches and a prom that stretches literally for miles from well down the Mersey by Seacombe ferry all the way past New Brighton and on.
It does of course also have a lighthouse and one of my very favourites at that the lovely Perch Rock which marks the mouth of the Mersey. Despite being long abandoned it looked spruce and white against the blue sky.
