Portobello Beach Edinburgh Day 235

After all the runners on the promenade last Sunday a very small number of early morning joggers are taking advantage of the early morning space. Yesterday was the first full of day of the Porty summer season with ice cream vendors out in force and the groynes being used as overflow seating such were the crowds enjoying the sun. No sun this morning. The wind from the south is surprisingly gusty and rain is due later. Watching the London Marathon on tv I am pleased to see London basking in another perfect April day. Today is HM The Queen's 87th Birthday. I don't think she will be watching the London Marathon runners from her Buckingham Palace balcony as press reports say she is celebrating quietly in her favourite home - Windsor Castle.
