Cycling the Monon trail

Monday
Another hot sunny day on the cards, so we decided on another bike ride, but this time in Indiana, doing some of the Monon Trail north of Indianapolis, that way we put Laura on her route back to Wausau Wisconsin. Roger thought we were starting from where we did a couple of years ago, but it wasn’t, and it turned out to be a big park, with a huge water park, which obviously on a hot sunny holiday afternoon, was doing very good business. The bike trail did indeed run along the edge of the park, but there were various trails, and it took us a little while to work out which one we wanted to take. Then, going through the town of Carmel, a section was closed, so we had to make a bit of a detour. But other than that we had a good ride. We got back to the car about 4 pm, after 17 miles return for me - Roger and Laura did a few miles more - and then Laura continued on her way north, and we returned home. My blip shows part of the trail through Carmel.
