Surgery Day
I thought hard about what picture to use today and finally decided to err on the side of respect for privacy. Not that the photos I took were rude or disgusting. They were personal, so I chose these rhododendrons and their fallen petals. I spotted them on the way to visit Shelly after his surgery.
Shelly’s surgery went well. He was feeling chipper and had energy enough to eat meat loaf and mashed potatoes for dinner while I visited. A man came in with a portable X-ray machine and I got to see the new titanium ball and socket the doctor put in. Very impressive. Tomorrow I go in very early to participate in Shelly’s physical therapy, so I’m heading to bed early tonight. Most likely Shelly will come home tomorrow.
