Out and down in London
Yesterday l went down to the Olympic park with my photography group and a U3A walking group. The idea was that we would walk 6 miles around an art trail dotted over a wide area. We all set off and then it happened, l tripped - in a most spectacular way - camera went flying, blood everywhere. Everyone was most kind and helped me sort myself out and we set off again, the art was rubbish (in my opinion) but some interesting parts of east London and l will go back at a later date.
The photo today is taken from the cable car that crosses the Thames. I left for home after we had crossed the Thames on the cable car and early evening went up to our local hospital which is an absolute gem in the nhs. They do not do accident and emergencies but will triage the walking wounded; after a 35 minute wait l was given 4 xrays on my foot and poked and prodded, l have a broken bone in my foot although my nose is not broken, my various cuts were cleaned (ouch, ouch, ouch) and l am free to fight another day.
This morning l have quite a spectular black eye, l may stay close to home for a few days.
