Waiting

Waiting for the bus vaporetto to take us to the station. The view looking under the Accademia bridge with no vaporetto in sight yet. When you want a limited stop vaporetto a slow one turns up. Not to worry we have plenty of time and had a coffee at the station.

Nice train though very busy. Lucky we had seats booked. During the journey we were offered a small snack, water and a small bottle of prosecco each.

Arrived on time in Milan and transferred to the regional train to Como, actually a Swiss train heading for Lugano. Even more crowded and no seat reservations on this one. Luckily we boarded in time to get a seat. Like us many passengers had luggage and there is nowhere to store it.

On arrival in Como we had a bit of a struggle to find a taxi willing to go up the lake as far as Lenno. We got one eventually. It was a slowish journey, I think there must have been somebody in front of us unfamiliar with the road.

Finally time to relax and dinner at a restaurant next to the lake in the evening.
