Big day out

First outing with the Llanelli Ramblers today apologies for late posting and extras - hotel wi-fi was pretty useless!).  Coach to The Big Pit and kitted out with hard hat, battery, light, and a respirator (worrying!).  A fascinating walk 300 feet underground with a very comical guide.  Claustrophobia set in when the lights were switched off! Then coach to the Heritage Railway station and part one of our walk. A great ride on the steam railway back and forth several times.  Part two of our walk around some beautiful lakes with lots of wildflowers.  Part 3 of our trip was an add on - a trip around the Iron Works.  All a very interesting day, and before the journey home we ended up in a pub - the landlady had out on a buffet for the walkers.  Much appreciated.  Late return to the hotel so dinner and a few bevies at 9pm!
