Green Shield Bug

I spotted this bright green fella scaling the wooden post whilst Jen & I were tackling the almighty task of de-weeding our little garden.

The sun was out, there was not a cloud in the sky & it was a stunning day to be enjoying life outdoors. We have a flower bed of our own & so with our first free day of scorching spring sunshine, we waded into the weeds!

We ended up spending the entire afternoon out there, met some more of our very friendly neighbours & managed to transform an overgrown wilderness (slight exaggeration) into our own small slice of the Good Life. It's all ready for planting tomorrow. Tom & Barbara would be proud!

This evening we put down our tools, put our feet up, enjoyed a few well earned cold beers & watched the Amazing Spider-Man on the box. I did manage to fit the new episode of Doctor Who in too - it was pretty wicked & slightly scary. Classic Who!
