Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

Congratulations your Majesty on 70 years of magnificent service! 

I’ve just finished watching the Trooping of the Colour and the flypast of 70 aircraft over Buckingham Palace. Wonderful that the Queen was able to appear on the palace balcony.

My blip is of the Herdy tribute mug we bought in the Lakes back in March. We saw it in a shop window in the evening when the shops were closed but the next day were able to buy it at the Herdy Shop in Grasmere. I think it’s wonderful. It’s a limited edition and the lady who sold it said it was nearly sold out having only gone on the shelves the day before.

A fabulous morning for our early walk. Sadly just three cygnets left - extra. I took my other picture of them the day before we went to Scotland when all seven were still there. The last two years has seen all the cygnets hatched grow to adulthood.

The slogan in my collage is on the pavement outside the house where we are going for a street/ garden party this afternoon. We’ll stay for an hour or so and have a drink with the neighbours before heading over to Ilkley to the cinema.
