Thriving In Shadow

Could it possibly be, that we have never seen this tree blossom before? Sitting in the shade of an ash tree, which is in decline and already lost some branches, perhaps now the Cockspur Hawthorn gets more light? It is a native tree, something to be promoted, and is a delight to see. I should go back and take a photo of the whole tree.

Another mini heatwave, several days of highs in the 80's. Seems harder to cope with fluctuations like this, than a constant period, but at least it cools down overnight.
