Brimstone Moth
Chaos on the streets of south east Essex at the moment as a petrol tanker caught fire and burnt out at a major road intersection last night so that's going to take a while to put right.. especially over a bank holiday!
So we had nowhere to be, so I went for a local wander to the Downs in the glorious sunshine! always nice when you don't need to wear a coat! And it was blissfully free of people too, probably all caught up in the traffic jams! Lots to see today including new sightings for me, a Brimstone Moth along with a Burnet Companion Moth after taking a wander down a different grassy path for a change! Saw lots of Long Tailed Tits too and Chaffinches, more Speckled Woods and a Large Skipper
