Dambri Falls

These falls can be found nearby to Da Lat - they are located in an interesting complexe reminding me a bit of the early 1980s purpose built theme parks you find in the UK. It is worth a trip though in the wet season as the water flows are much stronger! It is also one of the brands of coffee we sell out of Vietnam entitled "Dambri falls" - a grade specification.

It was King's day this weekend (April 19th), marks the day that the Hung dynasty united the Northern and Southern Vietnam. They ruled for 2000 years from around 2800 BC to 250 BC. They have been acknowledged to have founded the fundamentals of what we can refer to as "Viet Nam" - traditions, folklore, customs, inter-relations, etc. Marks the birth date of this country.

Interesting fact was that it was only made a national holiday in 2007.... hmmmm....
