The Kyles

Picked up a hire car, packed it full of things we might need, then set off west - passed by Loch Lomond, up the Rest and be Thankful, then down to Tignabruaich. This is the view from L & J's new house - looking straight down the Kyles of Bute. The island approximately in the middle is Inchmarnock, where D spent several happy summers on an excavation.

Quite a change from East Lothian. But their boat is very close by, in Portavadie. Think that may be where Pensioner keeps his boat (we have warned them)!
