Snake's Head

I seem to have an awful lot of favourite flowers and this is one of them-The Snake's Head Fritillary. They are a native wild flower, and not difficult to grow in your garden. I love the checked pattern on their petals.
These Fritillaria were painted wonderfully in water colour by Charles Renee Mackintosh, as were the Paque flowers that I Blipped 2 days ago.
