Platinum Jubilee Day 1

A beautiful evening for the lighting of the Elie beacon.
The crowds were led down to the harbour by the St Andrews Pipe Band.

Good that so many people thronged on to the quayside to listen to the pipe band and watch the beacon being lit. As you can see from the extra there was no sign of darkness falling.
