Village celebrations

My cycle ride somehow turned into a tour of villages to see how much bunting was on show.  Witherslack was my favourite as every house had a purple flag that had been individually designed.  
The extra shows our village get-together; cake was eaten, wine was drunk, we watched the house martins and swifts swoop all around us, and we finished just as the clouds burst at 9 o'clock.
