Platinum Jubilee

A four-day weekend of celebration in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee started today with the Trooping of the Colour in the morning and the lighting of beacons throughout the Commonwealth in the evening. Unlike Coronation Day (2nd June 1953), when it rained, the weather today was sunny and reasonably warm.
