South Stack
Got up at 0330 to miss the traffic and whizzed across the country pretty easily to Anglesey. By 1030 the cars parked along the roads by Snowdon were astounding but we passed on by.
Our mission was to light the Jubilee Beacon at South Stack on behalf of Trinity House. I got to light it (with a blowtorch) and all went smoothly. A very peaceful (apart from thousands of nesting birds on the cliffs) and beautiful place to spend a couple of hours under the stars.
Had to climb 408 steps up the cliff in the dark back to the car and we were back at hotel by midnight.
