TT headed off to work early. I headed off to the office, but not as early as TT. We left BB to his own devices today – but I imagine he was in bed until around lunchtime. There were quite a few of us in the office today in our area, which made for quite a buzz. However, I thought other areas of the office had less people in them than I have seen in recent times – so it still balances out to not many people in the office overall! It was nice to have that buzz with lots of chat, and meeting colleagues whom I have never met in person before – but we were all agreed that none of us were very productive. Going back to working in an office environment is going to take some getting used to.
A colleague and I had made a plan to go out for food and drinks after work – and it was so nice to finish up “early” and to wander along George Street. We had booked a table only to find out when we got there that they were not serving food as their kitchen had closed at 3pm. They hadn’t let us know – which was all very annoying. Anyway, there is plenty of choice on George Street, so we just went somewhere else and had some food and a drink. We did go back to our original destination for a drink and we couldn’t believe how empty it was – very covid secure, as there were only about four tables occupied - us at one end and three at the other end. It was lovely to go out after work – it felt like the “old days”
