Dinton Pastures

Headed up to just outside Reading, planning to meet up a with a couple of friends. One had to pull out unfortunately, but still had a good afternoon walking, taking photos and catching up. Dinton Pastures is a series of old gravel pits now turned into a nature reserve. It being a nice day it was heaving near the car park, but as soon as you got a little way into the park it was fairly quiet (other than noise from the nearby motorways).

Have to admit by not being too inspired by the place. Not particularly photogenic, and not that much wildlife. Also, there's constant reminders of being on the edge of town - if you look closely you can see an office building above the tree line.

I met up with a friend I hadn't seen for a while in the evening. Good to catch up - and there was a very good curry involved too :-)
