Brimstone BUtterfly...

It's not often that I find a brimstone butterfly in the Holme Valley. This one is a male and was feeding on red valerian in New Mill! I have thought that the rare sightings were due to a lack of food for their caterpillars to feed on - buckthorn and alder buckthorn. Maybe things are changing...
