Alvar

Today we have been to the alvar on the island. A desolate landscape, so unimaginably beautiful. At first, it is believed that nothing grows here, but it does. Flowers of various types, shrubs, grass, lichen, orchids. And here, too, there are birds.

Extras: The kidney vetch, the red Sedum acre and the wild chives formes little spots of color.
A Heliconians butterfly kept quite still in the strong wind, so I was able to get a photo.
Last extra: Also on this day, my husband watches birds. And today he is extra happy, he has bought a new spotting scope.
