Blue on Blue

Up to Edinburgh this morning to pick up a windshield from Tiso's. It's to put around the table and chairs when we sit outside enjoying the fresh air on our trip to Fife next week - it's just possible that it might be a bit breezy on the East Coast.

Tiso's used to have a nice cafe, now it seems to have been turned over to selling bikes. Luckily we remembered Milk at the Sculpture Workshops, and they did a very acceptable cheese scone (followed by a piece of gingerbread, this is not the way to get back into those size 10 trousers ...)

From there it's only a hop and a skip to the Botanics - looking wonderful in the sunshine. The rhododendrons are mostly over, but the meconopsis more than made up for that.

I went into the shop hoping to be able to buy some plants, but they didn't have any.

12,000 steps must have made a little dent in the gingerbread.
