Sunbeams

Yellow and Red

This is the result in our lawn of the cross fertilisation of wild cowslips from the underside of our garden boundary hedge with the primula and wild primroses growing in the flowerbed. There is a real mixture of these plants although I am glad to say the pure species still appear alongside them.

A beautiful sunny and warm day with the garden ripe for attention. The old lawnmower was trundled about, the clippers oiled, and my book finished!

T is now recovering and has been fencing with J and afterwards fertilising the grass fields all afternoon. It is about time the Herefords were let out to graze.
