hotting up

Jubilee fever has gripped Uckfield today..

After breakfast I set off on a walk to West Park Nature Reserve and Lake Wood. More beautiful trees. It was cool in the woods, but outside the sun was shining and the day was pretty warm. On my way home, I passed through the recreation ground where today's events were taking place. They were due to begin with a parade of schoolchildren with the flags they had made for a competition, but there was a delay in the proceedings..a swarm of bees had landed on a post by the side of the field, and they were waiting for a beekeeper to come and take them away :-)

I headed home to make lunch as my sister was visiting. She stayed all afternoon and we did a jigsaw with Mum then went food shopping.

I've made tea, we've eaten it and soon it will be time for bed..
