Beach Day
Another bright sunny day, summer already? After backtracking to the PizzaJo location for breakfast, Jo's mum runs the bakery in a similarly shaped hut as yesterday, I think the parents are german, the daughter runs the pizza hut, the mum runs the bakery and the dad and the son run the gin place, but they all help out in each.... I am sure the story is interesting but we had beaches to visit.
First stop was a coral beach near Plockton where Mrs C and Arlo went swimming. Arlo has not swam, for almost a year, pretty much about 20 miles west of there in Skye and he soon got back into it, like a duck dog to water... he doesn't choose to swim, but if someone is out there swimming, he will follow.
Then it was a longer tip up to Applecross, up the pass of the cattle, a quite spectacular single track road up and over a mountain. It was busy with tourists hanging phones out the car window to film the trip.
Anyway, it was a brick red coloured beach this time and we headed straight to it. Ms H and Arlo can't get enough of beaches, the sea was really shallow and warm. Arlo met his "twin", they seemed to be equally matched with similar markings, we couldn't quickly tell them apart as they were playing, that was nice. Post walk it was fish and chips by the sea and a pale ale. Hmmm... yes, another lovely day.
