The joy of dancing

The Catalan dancers are back dancing in the square which is a sure sign that summer is on its way. I wanted to capture the beautiful costumes, the fun of the event and the movement. I took many shots and soon discovered how difficult it is to capture the exact shot you want - the movement and the vigour make it very difficult to frame the picture successfully. I nearly went with this shot which had lots of movement in it. Eventually, I decided on this lady for her beautiful costume and because she was taking so much pleasure from the dance.
