Or great skua. I went over to Hoy mainly because conditions were perfect in Scapa Flow for whale-spotting, but nothing, though someone else spotted a couple of porpoise. Meanwhile, orcas were seen in Scapa Flow from the pier which I visit every few days!!! Tioday though I had nice views of hen harrier and short-eared owl on the cycle to the ferry and blue-tailed damselflies, puffins etc on Hoy.
