A part of the Leeds Liverpool canal in Rishton.
The Feast Day of Saint Charles Lwanga and companions. Martyrs
As we continue to find our way through the long Bank Holiday for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, and avoid crowds, being mostly at home has been enjoyable. There are celebration parties taking place in various parts of the neighbourhood. The sun is shining, children are playing, and flags look good. The wind was strong and cold this morning, hence all those leaves on the tow path.
Earlier on, I went for a pleasant canal stroll. My hope was to find the swans and cygnets, but there was no sign. The ducks and geese are the resident feathered presence and the impression of the canal was peacefulness and calmness. There were a few people walking their dogs .
I took so many photos it was difficult to decide which one to post here today. So I hope you find the photo of the tree, the little duck and the canal, a serene capture of how I see our part of this waterway as a walker..
Keep happy, safe and well.
Thanks for visiting my site today.
