YELLOW-TAILED MOTH CATERPILLAR...

...I think, after a lot of looking-up (Euproctis similis). I'm not sure I've ever knowingly seen the moth, and the caterpillar is definitely more spectacular.

I had lots of bird, bug, flower and seascapes-with-seals today after a walk at the dunes and along the low-tide mark at Teesmouth, but I chose this one, spotted just as I got back to the car.
