Preparations

First of all, thank you for all the comments, hearts and stars for yesterday's milestone orchid. I hope I'll be able to Blip another bee orchid this time next year :-)

It's been a cloudy and rather chilly day. Richard and I spent most of it pottering about with shopping and other preparations for a small friends & family get-together we've organised for tomorrow afternoon.

Optimistically, we had visualised relaxed times in the garden. The weather forecast, meanwhile, is veering from thunderstorms to light showers and back. A kind friend has lent us a large gazebo, which will help if does turn out to be 'light showers' and not an actual downpour. We will see...
