After blipping yesterday I had a little snooze at my AirBnB and then went out to explore Bedford's night-life. At some point it dawned on me that Chaucer's “Canterbury Tales” and Bunyan's “Pilgrims Progress” are not, in fact, the same piece of work. Fancy!
I had some wonderful fun and returned to my digs happily exhausted.
Today was more genteel. I met with a dear friend from college days who lives a little way outside Bedford and I was able to show her what I had discovered yesterday. Then, when the weather had chosen to throw water on Her Majesty's celebrations, I travelled back to Henley where I was able to close the deal on the flat. Yes that is now confirmed as mine and all I need do next is arrange the physical move.
