People Watching on Umhlanga Beach

I couldn't believe it when we woke up this morning to sunshine! It has been raining all over the country since Thursday night.

We didn't waste time getting down to the beach!

First stop was at the beach front Spur for breakfast and then we got straight on to the sand. It felt like it was just a week ago that we were last here. (Well it was only 4 months ago) the weather was lovely and warm and the boys got into the sea, but it was a little cold for me. So instead I got the camera out and looked around for something interesting.

I loved this mom and child pose. It was as if they were my models. Sometimes its easier taking photos of strangers than of people close to you.

After a while we went up to the hotel pool and lay on the loungers. We were entertained by a cute little girl sitting next to us with her family. She was using the cord from the umbrella as a microphone and singing her heart out for us!

The rain built up again and the black clouds spread across the sea. We took the scooters up to the shops quickly to get a few things for lunch and just made it back in time slightly damp as the rain started. Son S decided to ignore the rain and had fun down at the pool on the big slides.

~ The feeling of being at the sea - the smell of the salt water, the sound of the waves breaking, the sand under your feet, the waves over your toes, the sun on your skin, the smell of suntan lotion and everybody around you happy and relaxed.
~ the pure enjoyment of relaxing!
