Day Out Around Stirling

I got to catch up on some sleep this morning with Ed being home. After a bit of faffing around getting a new tax disc for the car, we headed to the Woodhouse Cafe for lunch. We whiled away a couple of hours in there, it's very pleasant. They are opening a farm shop in June, I'm very much looking forward to that. Orla made a friend - a little girl called Sophie. Her very chivalrous older brother brought her over to make the introductions, and then they chatted away together. Unfortunately it was just as we were about to leave, so they didn't get to know each other very well. We then headed to the playground near the Wallace Monument that we've been to once before (no accidents this time!). Conor and I both slept in the car while Ed and Orla had fun in the playground! They were in there for ages, because Orla "won" extra time by going down the tube slides. A little bit of gentle encouragment is all it takes to get her to do stuff like this now, gone are the days where she would point-blank refuse. Then to Waitrose for dinner, which we had watching Game 1 of the NBA play-off series between the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics.
