Colton Fishacre
A lovely day out at this interesting National Trust property. Built by the D’Oyley Carte family in 1920 after Rupert and Dorothy sailed by and thought it a lovely place to build a house! The gate at the bottom of the sloping garden leads onto the South West coast path with view over Pudcombe cove, where the family had a tidal swimming pool which you can still see, although I couldn’t quite identify it !
