Litter Pick

What a brilliant day we had yesterday. The sun shone, the people came, the games were played, the music was enjoyed, the pizzas and icecream were eaten and the dances were danced. What an amazing event and what a lot of socialising after all these months (years) of Covid restrictions.

This morning a group of us set out with our litter pickers to do any necessary clearing up. Really there was next to no rubbish though so after an hour we went for coffee in the sun. Extra shows the park where a lot of yesterday's activity took place looking pretty spick and span.

The main is I think a magpie's egg - the most interesting bit of picking up we did.

We are all pleased with how this event went. It was a lot of work for the three main planners and organisers. They really deserve a big vote of thanks. As do all the volunteers who helped. And the people who came along and joined in. We managed to avoid it being a jubilee event but created a chance for people to get together. We were fortunate with the glorious weather. And with all the good sports who supported it. Phew!
