Special visitor

Despite the apocalyptic weather forecast for today, the planned street party went ahead.

More than 60 people with someone from most of the houses in the road. A great turnout despite the cold and damp weather.

Her Majesty turned up unexpectedly was incredibly impressed with the effort put in by some.
 
The mayor came to have a look along with the council leader. 

A good time was had by all, and, indeed, was still being had by a select few even after the road had officially reopened. 
The extra is one of the oldest residents.
